Here and There

I am currently sitting in a Worthing hotel on the south coast. I've spent a week with my sister, seen nephews and niece and am about to visit an elderly aunt before I make the return trip home tomorrow. Last week with family was fun and gossipy but exhausting. I left the Croydon area at 10 yesterday morning and drove along with thousands of bikers down the A23/M23 towards Brighton. Apart from the sheer numbers of Bikers involved they all rode in a very considerate manner to other road users. I didn't realise how many differnt types and personal decorations one is able to get in the motor cycle world. Our builder who lives in Sidmouth is a biker. I kept expecting to meet him there. I didn't realise just how big an event it was until I checked the web. http://www.ace-cafe-london.com/Continental-Run-Info.aspx

I then enjoyed a quiet night in the hotel watching tv, reading and checking emails. I slept like a log for over 8 hours.

The observant and techno readers will observe that I've not mastered the drag and drop on the laptop touchpad. Hence the clumsy link. I packed clothes for hot weather, cold weather and wet weather and I threw in the kitchen sink too - but i decided to travel light and left my mini mouse at home!

I have an aunt who lives in Worthing!
Amazing about the bikers!
I had a supervisor who was a biker and she was the sweetest, nicest person ever.
So it just goes to show!

Well, I for one would love to see you in black leathers. So much sex-appeal but never a photo - not since the one you posed for a few years ago beside your new car. ;-)

Oh, lucky you! Enjoy your time there. Sorry you got tangled up with the bikers!

Devon is waiting for you - still beautiful. In fact, the sun is shining at the moment!

Medrrimerri - isn't life strange - what a coincidence.

St Billy - don't tell anyone but that's me lifting the weights in my post of 28th August "http://sidmouth-town.blogspot.com/2008/08/good-reasons-to-have-children.html"

Good to hear from you Maggie May and you too AMKT.

My husband and I used to be bikers - we had a HONDA Goldwing (a touring bike) - it was great fun. We are the epitamy of genteel Sidmouth folk - so it just goes to show that one should never jump to consclusions! LOL!

Hope you're having a great break.

Penny, where the hell are you, woman? Not still sitting in that Worthing hotel, I hope? Spare a thought for your friends and fans, and post a little something now and again, eh?

I am desolated!!

Merryw - I intend to do at least a couple of trips to Croydon next year - after all I must get to see all my relatives during my 60th birthday year. I promise to get in touch via email to see if we can connect up - especially now I know you are 'rather grubby' as well as cheerful - I wont feel obliged to dress up! 8-) x
