Red Van Menace

I know that if I had one of these Red Vans parked near my house I would organise a rota of residents to go out at night to paint over all the advertising. Or more subtlety still alter the mobile phone numbers so that his 'business' soon went bust. Maybe for good measure I'd smash the windows and remove the tax disc. At that point the local council may stir themselves and remove it.

I have heard about "White Van Man", of course (they who think they rule the roads), but 'Red Van parked' is a new one on me.

Anyway, that tirade from you was quite a revelation, dear Penny. I have always guessed you could be 'hot' but, wow!

There should definitely be a time limit for how long a car can be parked without terming it as abandoned and then be able to have it towed away at the owner's expense. This is just silliness.

That was said with some feeling!
As we have no parking space other than the road, we are constantly resentful of anything that parks outside our house for too long.
Of course people do go on holiday. What can you do?

I ask again, if the answer is 'Red Van', what is the question? Teeni, maggie and yourself obviously know more than I do - where can I read about it?

St Billy - I've never been called a WOW before ..... just click on the words 'Red Van' in the post and you'll be taken directly to web site so that you can 'read all about it ...'

How annoying for the residents - but am I weird in having a sneaking admiration for his initiative?!

Penny, of course, I did that and saw your point only too clearly. As for you directing me to click on a highlighted link, would you believe that I only discovered three days ago (by accident) that the underlined portions of our profiles are links to further reading? Well, I never did pretend to be 'technical', now did I? ;-)
