Brophy's Coffee Shop - Sad

I went again to Brophy's Coffee shop this morning. I had to go out to collect a prescription and to liberate some cash from my bank account. I thought I'd pop in to have a coffee for a treat. What a let down. What a disappointment. It was nowhere as nice as last year. The coffee was very thin, weak and watery. There was hardly a soul in there. I should have taken that as a 'warning sign'. If the locals haven't filled the place by 10 a.m. then it's not to be recommended. I didn't recognise the people working in there so it has obviously changed hands. If this morning was a yardstick of success then I guess it could well soon change hands again.

Oh, sorry that you were disappointed with your coffee shop experience. I hate it when things like that happen. But you are right - maybe it will soon change hands again and something better will come about. Always trying to think positive, that's me! :) LOL

Maybe it would have been better to have a coffee morning at home! Sorry the place had gone down hill.

Oh dear. My favourite coffee's Monsoon Malibar from Whittards. It smells disgusting when ground but tastes wonderful.

Did the smoking ban have anything to do with it?

"Waiter! This coffee smells like mud!"

"Yes sir, but that's hardly surprising - it was only ground a few minutes ago."

I know teeni - I'll have to do as maggi may suggests and have coffee at home in future - I'll have to clear a space and invest in an expresso machine and DIY from now on.Will try Win Whisp's favourite.Monsoon Malibar probably doesn't smell as half as disgusting as Dandelion coffee which i used to drink when trying to cut caffeine.
No Mark - Brophy's has always been a non-smoking establishment.As to the joke - 'groan' ;-)
