Christmas should be a moveable feast. In our family, we tend to always have the party the night before or the day before, just because I like spontaneity. As a result we have had some fantastic times and Christmas itself has passed almost unnoticed on the actual day as we all crawled about recovering.

I'm going to have a very quiet one this year for a change. I'm ordering a ready-stuffed goose from M&S. How lazy is that?

I was hoping to ignore Cmas this year but my mother's coming to stay so we can't entirely!

NOoooooooooooooooo Xmas is Cancelled this year........................

In fact this year is cancelled it has been the worst year of my life

Oh dear it has been a bad day.

On another front I still have the goose I bought frozen from Lidl in the freezer from last Christmas... plus one or two lobsters and a side of smoked sockeye salmon

Trouble is being at the parents I cant access these foods...

Frustration adds to depression I think

Why do so many people hate Christmas?

I love it; except that bloated feeling when you've eaten too much, and having to chat to relatives who I don't much like, and having to buy them gifts, and being given crappy gifts in return, and having to laugh at Uncle Tom's unfunny anecdotes, and having to reply politely to Aunty Marge's rude questions about my girlfriend(s), and having to watch that bloody film again, and this year having to return to work for the Boxing Day shift, and... apart from that, I love it.

I know - It's unbelievable it's here again - so soon. It feels even sooner now that I've just had my haircut and made next appt which is just a few days before Christmas. But we are in for a quiet time so I am beginning to think I may as well save my money and re-arrange it and book in a couple of weeks later. I'm sure the heiardressers will be very quiet in the first week in January.
