Life Goes On ...

Well there have been a few gloomy, introverted posts recently. I'm blaming it on the lack of sleep and August through to October being full of sad memories. Added to which I experience SAD which has not been helped this summer which has been more dreary than usual. Although I am now revelling in this indian summer I may have to invest in a light box to get me through the winter. I've started to take St John's Wort again which I usually only take during the darkest winter months.

However, I saw this in a newspaper today and thought it was bizarre beyond belief. I feel this is carrying grief beyond what is reasonable. I don't know what your thoughts are.

Now I'm picking up a bottle and am off to visit teeni to see what mad idea she has for another party. What would we do without friends to keep us on the right track? ....

Yes, that IS carrying things a little too far. That is why it is important to spend the time you can with loved ones when they are alive. So you don't turn into someone who is trying to preserve a lifeless corpse. Ick. Perhaps these sisters have some sort of emotional issues. I wonder.

If you have SAD then definitely get that light! I have heard it helps quite a bit. It is worth every penny if it is going to keep you from getting too gloomy. I love your posts - you have some really deep thoughts. They are wonderful. You just need to come back up into the light in between! ;)

bizarre isn't the word for it. Creepy is another...

I used to work with someone who suffered from SAD - he was posted to Iceland in the winter, where they only get about 2 hours daylight, and it was nearly the end of him poor thing. Hope uou get that lightbox soon - or store up some of this wonderful sunshine.

Sorry teeni - it was just that a few thoughts that followed on from each other - back to the more lighthearted and/or bizarre now - or the political!!
Flower - poor chap - do you know I have a real longing to visit Iceland, but in summer - I'd love to live there!? Seems so peaceful. I refused to move to the north [my husband loves the lakes and the scottish highlands etc] as I knew I wouldn't be able to cope.

Henry - this made me LOL. I have enough trouble busily growing things during the summer months without having to grow in mid winter. If I do get one I can see myself sitting next to it and sharing it's bright glow with all 8 of my african violets which should then bloom all year round.

There's nowt so queer as folk! Talk about not being able to let go ....... I wonder whether part of it is guilt that they didn't do enough for her when she was alive. Very creepy.
